To be successful, you must believe in yourself and in the abilities you posses.
People who are confident in their skills and abilities have the courage to press towards their goals. When you don’t believe in yourself, success is fleeting because your results often align with your beliefs about yourself and your work.
While loving what you do will determine how much enthusiasm you can muster to perform tasks, if you don’t believe in your ability to complete those tasks lackluster effort may prevent you from doing your best. As cliche as it sounds, you must believe in order to achieve.
So many people are very critical of themselves or concerned what others think about the choices and decisions they make. So instead of being happy with their decisions, they overthink in fear that others will be disappointed.
I use to be one of those people.
It mattered to me what people thought about me. It was important to me to meet the expectations of my loved ones, and, sometimes, my coworkers so they would be happy. In this process, I often came up feeling sad or even angry. Everyone was happy except me.
Why am I saying all of this? My lack of belief in me left me open to the ridicule and unsolicited advice of others. I want you to know that you aren’t the only person to experience these feelings.
Believe in Yourself Even When You’re Down or Uncertain about a Situation
You can make it through whatever slump you’re in. Do you remember life before the slump? You lived that life so you can live it again. You must be confident in what you believe about yourself. Every past experience can be used to get you through a not-so-good time to a GREAT time.
If you truly believe in yourself you will be amazed at the things that will cross your path. However, you must be still and pay attention to the signs God gives you. He’s telling you the direction to go. Just stop being afraid and go for it. Do it for you.. and no one else because you matter and you’re special.
