Have you ever learned a hard lesson from your earthly father? If you’re reading this I’m sure you can say “Yes” but have you ever learned a hard lesson from your heavenly father? The answer for me is “Yes” and it was one that made me understand that God allows you to go through the valley because he loves you. During this time God is teaching you and giving you choices that will enhance your spirtitual growth and maturity.
I recently learned a valuable lesson about life. I had been praying everyday, reading the word of God consistently and even hearing from God personally saying these words “it’s over“. I was convinced that it was over because I had heard from God. Who was I to deny Gods word to me? As I entered into my situation and the answer wasn’t what I expected I suddenly became confused and didn’t understand how this could be. God spoke to me and told me that it was over right? Yes, God spoke to me and said those exact words “it’s over” but didn’t give a specific time or day. My spiritual immaturity set a time and date on when my situation was over and this was the wrong thing to do. I put God in a box expecting him to act at a certain time. The fact of the matter is we don’t know what gods plan is but we do know according to his word in Romans 8:26-28:
“Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something”. – Message Translation
I was the one to give a time and a date to when my delievance would occur which was wrong! I’m not God so I had no right to be upset that it didn’t happen how I expected. The lesson is it’s not in my time; it’s in God’s time and if he told me “it’s over ” then it’s over. If you’re going through a situation and worrying about the outcome you should give everything to the Lord and understand that it’s going to work in your favor and turn around but only in Gods time. Have faith that our Lord God is in control and will never leave you. Deuteronomy 31:6 says, “The Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” NIV
When going through difficult time step out in faith, and let god sustain you during your struggles in life. God is bigger than our circumstances, our fears, and thought process of our lives. He desires to do exceedingly, abundantly beyond all that we could ask, think, or imagine -Ephesians 3:20
God will not forsake but he will test you and prepare you for the many blessing that he has stored up for you. So my friend just believe and walk by faith and not by sight. Have a Blessed Day!
